Procedure for operation and cleaning of Insecticutor

To lay down a procedure for operation and cleaning of Insecticutor

This SOP is applicable for the operation and cleaning of insecticutor in all areas in Pharma Company.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Respective department personnel, Housekeeping, and Engineering department personnel is responsible for following the procedure mentioned in this SOP.

PROCEDURE:

Plugin and switch “ON” the insecticutor.

Check the tube rods for their correct functioning.

Do not switch off the insecticutor at any time, except for cleaning.

If any time the insecticutor is found not to be functioning properly, fill the Maintenance Request and inform the Engineering Department for correction as soon as possible.

Cleaning procedure:                     

Cleaning of insecticutor shall be performed by Housekeeping personnel.

Put “OFF” main switch of the insecticutor.

Remove the power plug of the insecticutor.

Remove the tray of the insecticutor.

Remove the insects, put them in the polybag, and send for destruction.

Record the details in the insecticutor cleaning log.

Clean the unit and tray with a dry cloth.

Fix the tray back in the place and put “ON” the institutor.

Check the tube rods for its correct functioning, if found faulty replace it.

Frequency:

For cleaning of insecticutor is weekly.

For replacement of the UV tube rods is when they are found to be functioning incorrectly.
