SCOPE: To maintain high standards of cleaning in microbiology lab.
RESPONSIBILITY : Done by: Microbiologist.

ATTACHMENT :ANNEXURE-I RECORD OF HOUSE KEEPING IN MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY
PROCEDURE:
Cleaning shall be done daily
Floors shall be mopped daily with water containing disinfectants. Possible use of any disinfecting facility registered in country. The Concentration, consumption on unit area and exposure is defined by regulations confirmed Main by sanitary physician of the Country.
Glass panes shall be sprinkled first Disinfectant and subsequently wiped with a dry clean cloth, at least once daily
Waste bins kept at different places in Microbiology Department shall be cleaned at least once daily.
All working tables shall be mopped with water containing Disinfectant every days.
Ceilings shall be cleaned for cobwebs at least once a week.
All light covers covers shall be cleaned at least once in a week.
All foot wears shall be cleaned once in a week.
The cleaning records shall be maintained as per The annexure I and journal of the account of the reception, use disinfectants and work of disinfection with preventive purpose
Cleaning records shall be preserved for at least one year.
