OPERATION AND CLEANING OF VACUUM CLEANER

Operation of Vacuum Cleaner

• First, insert the plug of the Vacuum Cleaner in the socket provided in the area.
• Switch “ON” the main power of the socket as well as the switch provided by a vacuum cleaner.
• Attached are accessories provided with Vacuum Cleaner as per the requirement of de-dusting of the containers/boxes.
• Suck the powder/dust and other adhered material from the surface and outer side of the containers/boxes to be cleaned.
• After completion of cleaning switch “OFF” the Vacuum Cleaner and remove the attachments for cleaning.
• Keep the Vacuum Cleaner near the weighing area allocated to it.

Cleaning Of Vacuum Cleaner

After completion of the operation, cleaning of the Vacuum Cleaner is to be done.

Remove the top cover of the vacuum cleaner and also remove the filter /dust collection bag inside the Vacuum Cleaner.

Scrub the filter bag with a nylon brush to remove adhered material.

Remove the waste collected in Vacuum Cleaner in a double-layer polybag and send it to the ETP.

Clean the top cover with a lint-free cloth.

Clean the inner part of a vacuum cleaner with a wet lint-free cloth and wipe it again with a dry lint-free cloth.

Reassemble the part as per the attachment removed from Vacuum Cleaner.

Clean the outer area and the wire of the Vacuum Cleaner with a dry clean cloth.

Cleaning Of Vacuum Cleaner (Weekly)

Weekly cleaning shall be performed at the end of work on the last day of the week.

Remove the top cover of the vacuum cleaner and also remove the filter bag inside the vacuum cleaner.

Clean the top cover with a lint-free cloth.

Remove the waste collected in a vacuum cleaner in a double-layer polybag and send it to ETP as per the procedure defined in SOP.

Scrub the filter bag with a nylon brush to remove adhered material.

Wash the filter bag in the washing area with potable water and dry it with compressed air.

Clean the inner part of a vacuum cleaner with a moist lint-free cloth and wipe it again with a dry lint-free cloth.

Detach the Hose Pipe from Vacuum Cleaner and send it to the respective washing area, flush the inner surface and outer surface of the Hose Pipe with potable water.

Drain the water and allow it to dry.

Wipe the outer surface of the Hose Pipe with a clean dry lint-free cloth.

Check the filter bag and paper bag for any damage. In case of damages replace the same.

Reassemble the part as per the attachment removed from the Vacuum Cleaner.

Clean the outer area and the wire of the Vacuum Cleaner with a lint-free cloth.

Transfer the cleaned Vacuum Cleaner to the respective area.
